Robert Wilson is a Dolly Blue!

The midfielder signs for Lancaster City from Workington AFC!

Lancaster City Football Club are excited to announce the signing of Robert Wilson from Workington AFC.

Rob is no stranger to the Dolly Blues as he was once a part of the set up at Giant Axe.
Other than Lancaster City, Wilson played for Workington AFC, AFC Fylde, Kendal Town and recently, American side, Cincinnati Dutch Lions.

Wilson, a midfielder, was ever-present for Workington last season, making 40 appearances, scoring 4 goals and notching 2 assists.

With the 2017/18 season over, Wilson joined American club Cincinnati Dutch Lions of the PDL.

Manager Phil Brown was ‘chuffed’ to land Wilson.

“Delighted to have signed Rob, he is a quality player and will do well for us. Rob is a well-balanced central midfielder, he’s comfortable on the ball and he competes well off it. I’ve watched him play quite a few times over several seasons and he’s always been impressive. I’m chuffed we have got the deal over the line and I can’t wait to see him back in a dolly blue shirt!”
