Lancaster city football club are delighted to announce the signing of striker Brad Carsley.
The Preston based hit man arrives following his departure from Bamber Bridge last week.
The 24 year old made a name for himself at Longridge Town with a remarkable goal scoring record before his move to Irongate. He spearheaded Brigs promotion to the Northern Premier Division with 22 goals and despite a significant period off after a nasty head injury has still contributed 11 goals this campaign.
Carsley endeared himself to the Brig supporters with his robust, physical style which saw him attract attention from clubs further up the pyramid in the summer, but he chose to stay with Bamber Bridge to start the season before recently requesting his contract be terminated.
Dollies boss Mark Fell says the club have captured a missing piece to their goal scoring puzzle.
“We’ve got a top forward who’s been on the radar of most north west non-league managers in the last few years. He’s a proven goalscorer, he’s a 20+ a season finisher and we’re crying out for that. He’s still a young lad and I know his personality will fit in well with the group – he’s professional in how he goes about things and he’ll hit the ground running I’ve no doubt.”
Carsley is expected to make his debut tomorrow in the home game against Mickleover, where he will undoubtedly get a warm reception from the Giant Axe faithful.
