Match Preview: Ashton United vs Lancaster City

After a 2-1 defeat at the hands of South Shields last weekend, Lancaster City will be looking to bounce back as they head to Manchester to take on Ashton United.

A spirited performance from the Dolly Blues saw them edged out by top of the table South Shields, with Rob Wilson getting the hosts only goal of the game from twelve yards.

For Aston United they in a relegation battle themselves sitting 21st in the Northern Premier League table.

They have had several positive results of late drawing 1-1 with Radcliffe on Tuesday with Liam Tomsett scoring.

City have put in determined performances over the last few weeks picking up 3-0 wins over Grantham and Morpeth respectively.
