We managed to catch up with Dollies recent centre back Dan Moss this week as he reflected on his move to City and the games ahead.
“Everyone at the club has been really welcoming” Dan Moss
We asked Dan first about what it was like to be thrust into action at Hyde United, meet new team mates and acclimatise to the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Level. “It was great” said Moss. “I didn’t know until the last minute that I was coming here (Lancaster City), and playing at Hyde was really fantastic. We train a lot on 3G pitches at Burnley and my new team mates welcomed me and mentored me through the game”.
Asking Dan who specifically has helped him the most since his arrival he answered: “Everyone at the club has been really welcoming, but playing at the back with Paul Dugdale has been great. Paul has mentored me and talked to me all the way through both games and it’s really helped me get to grips with the team style and the setup”.
Finally a look forward to Saturday at Scarborough: “For me it’s about enjoying every single game I play here, but Scarborough will be a bit special. The team are looking forward to it and believe we can again pick up some points. I’ve just really enjoyed playing football with Lancaster and I’m sure I will do again on Saturday at Scarborough”.
City go into the game having not lost for another week, whereas The Yorkshire club suffered defeat on the road at Buxton. If you can’t make the game, be sure to follow our twitter page to keep in touch with all the action.
