The Dolly Blues Reserve team Manager Shane Hudson was presented with an end of season league award this week.
The Lancashire Football League’s ‘Club and Club Person of the Season’ award is given to a club and club person for their efforts in hosting Lancashire League fixtures, hospitality of opposition and referees, avoiding fines and overall organisation.
The award is presented each year by the league to reward clubs and their personnel who go above & beyond league expectation and work hard to maintain the league’s standards.
This year’s winner was Shane Hudson and the Lancaster City Reserves. Hudson was formally presented with the award at the Lancashire Football League AGM on Monday by league Chairman Neil Marsdin.
Galaxy Lancashire Football League Chairman, Neil Marsdin.
“It’s always good to end the season with a trophy, and the League view the award of this trophy, ‘The Club and Club Person of the Year’ award as equally important as the League and Cup winners trophies.
We look at many aspects of the clubs performance, on field and off field discipline, hospitality towards the visiting club , undertaking administration in a professional manner and attending to all league business within the set parameters” said Marsdin.
He added, “I think it is fair to say that Lancaster City as a club have always maintained very high standards both on and off the field and with Shane Hudson at the helm this year, they have continued to be a credit to themselves and the League.”
