Lancaster City will be looking to advance to the third round of this years Integro League Cup when they travel to Hyde.
The Dolly Blues defeated Colne 2-1 in the first round of the competition with Lewis Fensome and Kiera Feeney both getting on the scoresheet.
At the weekend City drew 1-1 in a far from entertaining affair with Buxton as they Dolly Blues continue their surge for top spot with Graham Lancashire’s side sitting second in the Northern Premier League table.
Meanwhile for Hyde they sit 10th in the NPL having come away on the wrong side of a 2-1 scoreline against Atherton Colleries.
They have won two of their last six games picking up victories against Stafford and Bamber Bridge.
The Dolly Blues have struggled in recent weeks picking up back to back defeats against FC United and Stourbridge but both by a goal difference of one goal. The game against FC United saw City create character and determination coming from 2-0 down to bring the game level at 2-2 until injury time when they conceded a late equaliser.
Star men David Norris and Paul Dawson have impressed this season when it comes to the Dolly Blues attack with Lewis Fensome showing brilliant defensive qualities preventing a certain goal at the weekend against Buxton with a goal line clearance.
