An impressive away win at Witton Albion sets City in good stead, as they prepare to face Matlock Town at the Giant Axe on Saturday 5th October with kick of at 3pm.
With City’s win on Tuesday at Witton, their form has turned around completely. The impressive win gives the Dolly Blues a huge confidence boost and on Saturday, City look to conquer Matlock Town at the Giant Axe. The side has had no problems scoring recently, with them scoring at least own goal in their last three games.

Ones to Watch
City have looked dangerous lately, but specifically down the right-hand side. That’s mostly down to the impressive displays of Rob Wilson. The versatile midfielder has shown his quality in recent games, causing each side the Dolly Blues have faced a lot of problems and proven to be a handful. His crosses from the right have been incredible, putting the ball into the right areas and provided City with some dangerous attacks constantly. To add to this, Wilson has also managed to pick himself up a goal and a couple of assists in the last few games.
The man to watch for Matlock Town is Marcus Marshall. In what is a battle of the right side, Matlock’s wide man has proven he is a handful for opposition defences and he is the man that the Dolly Blues have got to watch. The winger has been able to cause problems in Matlock’s last few games, including getting himself two goals in their last three games.
The Dolly Blues are looking to continue their form from Tuesday night by getting a win on their return to the Giant Axe. They face a side in Matlock Town who are coming with the attention to take all three points for themselves and disrupt City’s plans. The Dolly Blues are without Niall Cowperthwaite this Saturday but are not letting set backs get in their way of the quest for three points.
