City have been given a timely squad boost with the return of defender Jack Armer on loan from Preston North End until the end of the season.
Jack was a key part of the Dollies squad, making 22 appearances and scoring 3 goals until his return to Deepdale in December. After being recalled to cover the first team there, notably a substitute in the Preston Vs West Brom Championship fixture, Jack has been given permission to rejoin the Dolly Blues, and manager Mark Fell says the timing is perfect,
‘We’re delighted to welcome Jack back, he’s a great asset to have in our team and a the lads will see it as a real boost. We want to continue to give him the exposure to men’s competitive football and help him on his way to a long and successful pro career. He’s got a great attitude, is a real winner and that comes out in how he plays.’
Armer will be in the City squad for Saturday’s top of the table clash with South Shields at the Giant Axe.
